This is a cassette by The Flaming Lips called "Rarities Vol. 1". This was a SELF PRODUCED cassette made by the band for friends only... This tape was made around 1992, to the best of my recollection. I was personally given the tape by Scott Booker, Manager of the Flaming Lips and Owner of "Hellfire Mgt.". The case comes with three stickers, a title sticker that reads "FLAMING LIPS" and a front sticker that lists songs. There are 13 songs on this compilation: SIDE 1 1. Hold Yer Head (Alien Studio) 2. Magician Vs. The Headache (Same) 3. Barbary Coast (Same) 4. Jets. Pt. 2 (Peel Session) 5. Hit Me (Peel) 6. The Sun (Peel) 7. Life On Mars (Peel) 8. Five Stop Mother Superior Rain (Dirt Outtake) SIDE 2 1. Ice Drummer (Suicide Tribute) 2. It Was A Very Good Year (Sinatra Tribute) #. Ballrooms Of Mars (Dirt 7") 4. My Two Days As An Ambulance Driver (CMJ Comp) 5 Sunarise Cassette is in good condition and I assume it to be in working order but I offer no guarantee. These cassettes are old and the foam pad could fall off whenever it decides too. There are a couple spots or stains on the labels... one on the Track listing sticker and one on the Hellfire sticker... otherwise fine. This was the only source for several songs, including the "Alien Studios" material and "Dirt Outtakes" until the "Finally The Punkers Are Taking Acid" Comp came out. read more
