This is somewhat of a mystery coin - with "TRAN INSULA" on one side - "Insula" was the Latin name for Lille, the medieval capital of Flanders - Lille is now a part of France. The other side has rampant lion in shield with crown at top - similar to the present day coat of arms of Belgium. There is no date or denomination - appears to be from the 1600's, which would be right for Lille to be part of Flanders before it became a part of Frannce. Scarce. Approx. 20mm diameter. A thin coin. Composition unknown.
