This "Floating" Hummingbird has a body carved out of Leopard Skin Jasper from Peru, with wings of Serpentine, a tail of Andean Pink Opal and an inset at the top of the head of Lapis mixed with Sodalite. The bronze beak is in a flower of Andean Red Jasper and Angelite with Yellow Serpentine leaves which stands on a Quartz Cluster on a base of black onyx. Excellent detail. The hummingbird has a wing span of 4 1/2" (11.5 cm) wide, and the entire carving s tands 5 1/2" (14 cm) tall. This little delight takes two boxes to be packed securely for shipping . New stone carvings are coming from Peru, w a number of families are employed to do the carving ~ they are truly beautiful. Take a good look at the photo showing its back ~ you can really see the detail of the feathers.
