Lovely original print of ballroom dancer Florence Walton wearing a gown by Lady Duff Gordon (Lucile), 1915. The costume is an 18th century-inspired style typical of the designer's output at this time, complete with powdered wig and feather fan. Walton modeled this same dress for Harper's Bazaar, May 1915, minus the wig. The frock is a superb example of Lucile's delicate, ultra-feminine look, from the handmade silk rosettes that trim the bodice to the embroidered taffeta skirt surmounting tulle flounces. Photo is in very good condition with no noticeable flaws. Photographer's raised label/stamp "Aime Dupont, 574 Fifth Avenue, New York" appears at the lower right of image.
