FLORINS x 50: £5 face value of pre 1947 silver from 1920 to 1946 - mixed grades, better than average (my ref. 180.5) The dates including the rare 1925 and 1932 are as follows: 1920 x 2, 1921 x 5, 1922 x 3, 1923 x 5, 1924 x 0, 1925 x 1, 1926 x 1, George V type 1 with worn dates x 2, 1928 x 2, 1929 x 2, 1930 x 1, 1931 x 1, 1932 x 1, 1933 x 3, 1935 x 1, 1936 x 3, 1937 x 1, 1938 x 1, 1939 x 2, 1940 x 1, 1941 x 2, 1942 x 2, 1943 x 2, 1944 x 2, 1945 x 2 and 1946 x 2. They are all .500 silver - 50% silver and 50% cupro-nickel. The total weight is 555 grams and they contain the equivalent of 8.92 troy ounces of pure silver. Some of the coins are scrap, some are in high grades and the rest are around average circulated condition - overall a better than average lot. General information: We do not use coin grading terms but we provide exact images of each item to help you decide upon the condition yourself. Multiple Purchases, Combined Postage Discount and Invoicing: We give generous combined postage discounts if you win multiple items. This is calculated by weight and a number of items may cost the same as or only slightly more than a single item. If you win multiple lots please wait for an invoice. We send these out by the end of the evening when all our lots have finished. If you have finished your bidding, you can request an invoice immediately and we will usually respond within a few minutes. Post and Packing Policy: We use a padded envelope and all items will be well packed. We try to keep postage and packing charges close to cost price. Please note that Royal Mail increase their postage charges in early April each year. Customs Labels: All packages posted to countries outside the UK and European Union must display a customs label. This will show the full value of the contents (rounded to the nearest pound). Please do not ask us to show a lower value as this is completely illegal and also against eBay’s rules. Please note: From personal experience, a small proportion of packages sent to countries outside the UK are routinely checked by the destination country’s customs authorities. Any customs duties, import levies or postal surcharges that might be applied in your own country are entirely your responsibility. This applies to all goods traded throughout the world. PayPal Buyer’s Guarantee: In order to comply with the terms of the “PayPal Guarantee” scheme, we must obtain proof of delivery. Some buyers do not seem to realise that PayPal will recover the cost of any successful claim made under this scheme, from the seller! For this reason, we have to use tracking services with the appropriate level of compensation cover for all higher value items. In the UK this is “special delivery”. For all countries outside the UK this is the “Royal Mail International Signed-For service”.
