FLORINS x 50: £5 face value of pre 1947 silver from 1920 to 1946 - mixed grades, better than average (my ref. 180.5) The dates including the rare 1925 and 1932 are as follows: 1920 x 2, 1921 x 5, 1922 x 3, 1923 x 5, 1924 x 0, 1925 x 1, 1926 x 1, George V type 1 with worn dates x 2, 1928 x 2, 1929 x 2, 1930 x 1, 1931 x 1, 1932 x 1, 1933 x 3, 1935 x 1, 1936 x 3, 1937 x 1, 1938 x 1, 1939 x 2, 1940 x 1, 1941 x 2, 1942 x 2, 1943 x 2, 1944 x 2, 1945 x 2 and 1946 x 2. They are all .500 silver - 50% silver and 50% cupro-nickel. The total weight is 555 grams and they contain the equivalent of 8.92 troy ounces of pure silver. Some of the coins are scrap, some are in high grades and the rest are around average circulated condition - overall a better than average lot.
