Flow blue ironstone sugar bowl with lid in the Hindustan pattern by Maddock, circa 1855. The bowl has 8 panels and has a octagonal rim. This is the primary double line shape. The handles are graceful scroll- type. It is marked with the Maddock mark of the pattern and Maddock name. It measures 7 1/2" in high to the top of the finial. T is professional restoration to the finial and one edge of the rim of the lid and one edge of the bowl. It does have the normal chip roughness on the inside edge of the bowl from years of scooping sugar. Even with it's flaws, this is a very nice piece at a very reasonable starting price and NO RESERVE.
