Up for auction is a T. Rathbone, Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, Stoke-On-Trent ( 1898 to 1923,1924: sources vary), Flow Blue, Staffordshire Art Pottery, Large Footed Jardiniere Vase / Planter Pot with a Rams Head on each side, and a Decorative Flower / Leaf Design done in a Rich Cobalt Flow Blue Glaze Treatment and Gold Gilding. This is a rather large, magnificent and beautiful footed jardiniere by the T. Rathbone, Staffordshire, England Pottery. Located in the town of Tunstall they were a rather short lived company for a pottery from the area also known as Stoke-On-Trent. In fact, only 25 to 26 years in business has to make items such as this one scarce if not rare. Especially in this condition. I can only find a few factory flaws and since nothing else has happened post production, I have no problem calling this piece MINT. T are no chips, cracks or glaze problems of any kind. This piece is clean and without stains or crazing. In fact the only reason I believe I was lucky enough to acquire the piece was because of my keen observance. This piece was with other large modern Chinese jardinieres and I believe that is why it stayed unnoticed. Something told me to take the time to check it out regardless of how new it looked.
