Fluorite (Fluorescent) - Location: Okorusa MineÂ¸ Otijwarango DistrictÂ¸ Otjosondjupa RegÂ¸ Namibia. Small Cabinet. we have a nice colorful specimen of fluorite crystals on matrix. The cubic crystals are well formed and sharp and are somewhat gemmy to translucent. The crystals are color 'zoned' with a nice darker purple color (basically in the middle to pale bluish-gray away from the center) and the crystals are lustrous. Please note that the photo was done using a 75 watt incandescent light source. Please note that the crystals may vary in somewhat in color depending on the light source that is used to view the crystals. The fluorite will fluoresce a nice bluish-magenta color under SHORT wave ultraviolet light and a brighter more bluish color with LONG wave ultraviolet light (see photos).
