FLUORITE, RHODOCHROSITE Sunnyside mine Eureka mining district near Silverton San Juan County Colorado collected by Alan Norris 1940-60s Size: 1 1/4" x 7/8" x 5/8". Nice thumbnail sized specimen with pale translucent cubo-octahedral fluorite and a couple of "stacked" rhombs of medium pink rhodochrosite. The fluorite crystal has a small cleavage on the top, and the bottom shows attachment on the bottom of the fluorite. The Sunnyside closed in 1989, and the American Tunnel, the main haulage, was shotcreted shut in 2004. All specimens are listed at wholesale cost or below. ! We accept Paypal.
