Up for auction is a 6 inch (152 mm) focal length, f/2.8 lens from a high-resolution aerial reconnaissance camera.The lens was made by Pacific Optical for the KS-87 camera system manufactured by Recon Optical/Chicago Aerial Industries.Designed to produce a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" frame on 5" film, its angle of coverage is 41.1 degrees.Although the KS-87 camera uses a focal plane shutter, the lens has a slot to accommodate a between-the-lens shutter.The front and rear elements are approximately 2 5/8" and 2 3/4" in diameter, respectively.The glass is in good condition.
