This is the best one of these we have ever seen, and shows no use. The paint on the shovel blade is nearly all t, as it is on the handle. Nothing repainted, this is all original. Blade is marked US, AMES, 1945. The cover is nicely contract marked and dated, and also about unissued condition. T is a little dirt and fading at the fold w it obviously rested on a garage floor. Otherwise no signs of use or abuse.You would be hard pressed to find a better example of this shovel so widely used in the second half of World War II.
