Masterpiece. Outstanding illustrations. Full declaration of imperfections: ding to base of spine (see picture taken under spotlight with different background). Due to now overcrowded bookshelves I am listing a number of Folio Society items, all from a pet- and smoke-free home. I will securely bubble wrap items to prevent the slightest damage in transit. Please take a look at my other listings, and at the top-notch feedback that attests to the full honesty of my descriptions. Thank you.On very close inspection in daylight, I think that it is not a ding at the tail of the spine but rather a bit of raised cloth in line with where the backstrip/spine cover has been glued to the bottom headband. Thus I suspect it is a very slight manufacturing imperfection rather than damage from the one previous owner.
