Echoesp2p/Echoes-Past to Present FOLK ART NATIVE AMERICAN NAVAJO INDIAN RUG -FANNIE PETE FANNIE PETE Fannie is the daughter of well known Navajo Folk Art weaver, Bessie Pete, and sister of Navajo weaver Julia Pete. Fannie's Folk Art weaving consists of two horses and flowers. The rug measures 17 1/2 inches x 21 3/4 inches . Per inch, the warp count is 8 and the weft is 13. Some count the weft on both sides. This would be a count of 26. The weaving is not square has color variation. Navajo Rugs are hand-woven on upright looms, and the warp is one continuous thread. Rugs woven on an upright loom do not normally have fringe. The exceptions are the Gallup Throw with fringe on one end plus the Germantown and Sunday Saddle Blanket that have decorative fringe attached. When finished, a Navajo Rug will have a tassel on each corner. Insurance is included in the shipping charge. Your purchase will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail.
