Folk Art Western Americana Wood Carving by Todocio Valdez Sculpture of "The Injun Doc" Todocio is well known for his western folk art carved scenes. This carving is amazing, with great detail and so much character.Rustic wood carved figurine by Todocio Valdez. Todocio- born in the late 1920's in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This particular piece is of a Native Doctor and his Nurse wearing about to perform surgery on what looks to be a terrified Cowboy :). Lots of detail! The doctor is wearing a headband adorned with feathers, is holding a knift and a tool, as he get's ready to start in on his unhappy patient. Assisting Nurse is ready with her tool to assist :) Nurse's chest is anatomically correct. All three characters have a little bit of worry in their faces- so unique! Signed on bottom by artist- Excellent Condition- No chips, cracks, or breaks.Measures 6 1/4" tall by 6" wide.
