The original photos were taken during the late 1890's. These photos are approximately 11" X 8" (296 X 210 mm). We supply quality glossy photos, ready for you to frame in standard sized frames which can be purchased in most department stores. What is a Photochrom Picture? It is a lithographic print made by a process which turns black and white negatives into colour photographs. This was popular during the 1890s when there was no such thing as colour photography. The finished appearance is similar to that of an 'old postcard' and has a slightly grainy appearance.
