This auction is for a Three Piece Figure set and Stable by Fontanini (5" heirloom nativity) made by Roman, it includes three beautifull 5 " heirloom nativity figures (Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus), the Fontanini Heirloom Nativity Story Card and moss/wood stable 9 3/4 inches high by 11 7/8 inches wide and 6 3/4 inches in diameter. This all comes in the original box. The following is a history of Fontanini Heirloom nativities and collectibles, that is included with the box: Since 1908, The Fontanini family of Bagni di Lucca, Italy has created Nativities and collectibles without equal. Emmanule Fontanini, great grandson and namesake of the founder, is the fourth generation to carry on the family business. The family tradition of artistic excellence, which began in a one room shop in the hills of Tuscan, is still carried on today. Each unique, hand-painted figure is crafted by skilled artisans from a high density polymer to resist breaking and chipping, allowing Fontanini figures to be enjoyed by the entire family. Genuine Fontanini Figures are maked with a fountain symbol on the base. Before the 1960's, a stylized spider was used, in honor of the "wiggly" legged toys that brought great sucess to founder, Emanuele Fontanini.
