The Fontanini Heirloom Nativity 5" Collection by Elio Simonetti Master Sculptor THE HORSE From a Northern California estate , a group of wonderful figures made in Italy . These lovely collectible figures . The box has this info on the side : FONTANINI IS UNIQUE ! Each figure is hand painted in the rich colors of Tuscany and antiqued for a distinctive, wood-carved look . Specially formulated polymer captures fine detail and will not chip or break . A story set in biblical times accompanies each character . All of these have their boxes , 'tho most of the boxes show some age , and wear & tear . The exquisite figures look like they were carefully taken care of & treasured. Many have the enclosure paper ' legend or story ' explaining the figure. A lovely additon to a collection . Specifics for this item : This set or figure is # 72524 and is dated 1992 . Has it's paper 'STORY'... It takes a very wise man to see the true worth of a dirty, lame horse abandoned by a caravan outside King Herod's palace. A glorious star and a marvelous event justify his faith in the animal .
