Pair of good used matching Ford dealer frames, from "Boyd H. Gibbons, Downtown Los Angeles." Gibbons was a well-known Ford dealer in LA. The frames fit 1947 and 1951 California license plates, running thru 1955. I have been running these frames on my '55 Fairlane for awhile, and they really look excellent. But frankly I prefer Bay area dealer frames better since that's w I live ... and although I have driven the car down to LA once in a while, it's not a trip I take all the time. And I figure t are a lot of So-Cal types who could make so much better use of them than I can :-) Just in a word in case you think 1947-1951-1955 Ford dealer frames are common and easy to find. They aren't. I think a fair description would be "extremely miserably difficult." Even a single is hard to find, and a pair is almost unheard of. And a decent pair ... well, frankly, this is the ONLY decent pair I have ever seen in many years of collecting. How many have you seen? Tell me, I want to know. These are both straight, with no breaks, cracks, or repairs. They are both good enough that you could take your pick, which is front or rear. Try to find another pair like them, ever. I hope you do, but I think you won't. I listed these frames on Ebay last April and they finished with an ending bid of $1,391.66. Check it out, the closed auction is still online: read more
