Very nice sepia colored photograph of the historic Forest House Hotel located west of the village of Forest Hill on route 192 about 5 miles north west of the town of Mifflinburg in Union County, PA. Picture measures 9 inches wide X 7 inches high. Overall size including the heavy paper to which it is affixed is 12 inches wide X 10 inches high. Picture is in great shape as indicated by the pictures. There are no tears, folds, holes or mildew. Only very light spotting which is visible mostly in the sky area. The paper to which the picture is affixed does have some tears and stains. This picture can very easily be trimmed, matted and framed. There is a sign on the side of the building which depicts the name of the proprietor. I believe it is "Dieffenderfer" but I am not sure. It is probably safe to assume that the people in the picture are probably the proprietor and his family. This is a rare picture of an historic landmark. Probably dates to late 1800's or early 1900's.
