obverse: LOWRY, BEALL & CO TRADERS U.S.A.; reverse: GOOD FOR 5 CTS IN GOODS. Brass, 16mm. Cunningham DT100. A nice clean and exceedingly rare token, and much brighter and sharper than seen in the photographs, used at Fort Sanders and Fort Fred Steele, Wyoming, in the mid nineteenth century. Cunningham notes Lowry Beall tokens were used at Fort Sanders. This specimen was collected at Fort Fred Steele in the 1960s. Two additional photographs added today, February 21.
