You are bidding on a nice pair of fossil Deer Teeth Leptomeryx sp. in a portion of jawbone from the White River Formation, Oligocene Period, 34-23 million years ago, South Dakota. Leptomeryx was probably a herding animal which resembled a small deer. T has been one reported find of 26 skeletons in an associated group. It would have been a favorite snack for cats and other predators of its day. Using either longwave or shortwave UV lamps, the teeth will fluoresce orange. It measures 1/2 x 1 x 5/8 inches and weighs .2 ounces. This will make a great addition to your collection. Shipping to US addresses will be $.97.
