A fox's foot, mounted on a metal base inscribed NTFH Bridgerule 26th Sept 1931.Overall height is 5" of which the foot itself is 3 1/4" high and 1 1/8" at its widest. It's a lighter brown: all the hair seems to be intact as are the four claws. The base is heavy (the whole item weighs 20 ozs). I don't know what the metal is; it's undamaged and only lightly tarnished in places because I have not polished it. The bottom of the base is lined with what looks like reptile (?) skin: it's intact if very slightly scuffed from standing. On the base is written in three lines: N. T. F. H. Bridgerule 26th Sept. 1931I believe, but don't know, that the N. T. could be North Tetcott, a hunt in Devon that no longer exists although I believe the Tetcott does. I can't recall where I got this little trophy - or another that's also on eBay - but I've had them both for about thirty-five years.
