Description: Framed Oil Painting of Cathedral in France by American Artist Charles Rigg (1919-For sale is a Framed Oil Painting of a Cathedral located in France that was painted by American Artist Charles Rigg probably in the 1970s or 1980s as he was touring France.This Oil Painting displays a Cathedral on the upper left side above an intersection of 2 roads. A woman is walking on the right side approaching the Cathedral. She is just passing a store front, possibly a cafe on the right that is painted red with a yellow awning that provides the splash of colors for this Oil Painting. On the back of the canvas is printed that the canvas was manufactured by Blanchet in Paris.I did search the internet to determine if I could identify this Cathedral in Paris, but could not determine a match as all the Cathedrals I observed.
