This listing is for an attractive painting of two women near colorful foreground plants with an expansive landscape of open flat land and low hills in the distance behind them. The painting is executed in oil on some kind of composition panel material surrounded by a wood stretcher. The stretcher is inserted in a wood frame. The painting is signed B. Jolly in the lower right corner. An older mostly complete address sticker on the upper rear side of the wood stretcher indicates that the full name of the artist is Barbara Jolly, and gives an address for her at the time in Beverly Hills, California. Also written on the stretcher is the title of the piece as well as the amount $60 on the upper stretcher, which might have been the original price placed on the work when it was created, but I don't know for sure. The painting is not dated. Based on its general appearance, and some information about Barbara Jolly on the internet, I've estimated that it was created sometime during the period from about 1950 - 1969, although that is not an estimate on my part and it could be of somewhat later vintage. The visible portion of the painting measures approximately 8 3/8 inches high by 11 1/4 inches wide. The front of the wood stretcher has a thin white painted wood inner border and the remainder of the wood stretcher surface is covered read more
