FRANKLIN LIBRARY 25th Anniversary Limited Edition - The Great Books of the Western World Sir Francis Bacon - Leonardo Da Vinci Illustrations Advancement of Learning - Novum Organum, New Atlantis Description: The 25th Anniversary Great Books series was one of two most exclusive of the Franklin Library editions. Many of it's volumes exemplify the richest of leathers, particularly ornate gilt work, raised images or leather work on the covers, particularly deep embossing, and terrific illustrations. It is the second most collectible Franklin series next to the Oxford group. They are both highly prized and sought after by discerning collectors. I will be offering many of the Oxford volumes and most of the 25th anniversary books in the coming days. Many other very fine books, some still in the plastic, will also be listed so stay tuned! Note the two tone stamping ornate design with black on deep red. Francis Bacon remains one of the most accomplished individuals in history.
