FRANCIS BARKER M-88 PRISMATIC COMPASS Genuine British Army issueNATO stock number: 6605-99Olive green in colour This prismatic compass is built to full military specifications. It will operate with precision accuracy to within half a degree, in temperatures from 55°C (131°F) down to -30°C (-22°F) for the M-73 and -20°C (-4°F) for the M-88. It is shock resistant, and built to withstand the roughest and toughest conditions you are likely to encounter anywhere in the world. The M-88 Liquid Prismatic Compass is built to the same exacting standards as the M-73, but is made largely from aluminum alloy making it very lightweight. Five self-luminous tritium light sources enable full night and daylight operation. The dial assembly is mounted in a liquid filled sealed capsule designed to allow the full servicing of the compass to sub-assembly level. PLEASE NOTE Compass is missing sighting prism - prism slide is still attached but loose - part of slide which lifts up and over to sit on the face of compass is still attached.Compass is also missing one small front screw with keeps window glass in place. Two remaining screws also need to be tightened.Face of compass is fairly scratched - compass can still be read, but scratches do show up in lightThere is also a small white mark under the face of compass between '20 and 24'.Item is missing card read more
