For sale is a gravy or sauce bowl or boat in the Arcadia Green pattern, made in California by Franciscan. This piece has the Mission building on the backstamp. This pattern was produced from 1942 to 62. This bowl measures almost 9" long including the liner, 2 3/4" wide, and 5 1/2" wide including the liner. This piece has the liner attached. The pictures are of the gravy bowl, looking down into the bowl, the gold and green leafy design on the sides, each of the spouts, the bottom of the bowl, a side view, and last the backstamp which shows a Mission Church, Franciscan China Made in California, and in red, Arcadia Green. This is what I would call a stylized piece, styled much like the sugar and cream pitcher in this pattern. This set seems to me to be more delicate than many of the Franciscan patterns I have seen. This sauce bowl is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, marks or any other problems, and the Gold trim is good. We will be listing other pieces of this pattern on our store.
