Hagney 20 March 1884 - 25 June 1973; with a staggering 380 film/TV credits from Â'19 to Â'61, he seems to be collected for one role in which he utters not a single word, the fellow who pushes PotterÂ's (Lionel Barrymore) wheelchair in "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946) .... Potter's Bodyguard . Please note that this is NOT from the "SAUL COLLECTION". This page measures approximately 5 x 4.25 inches and looks to be in green ball-point pen. On the reverse side is an auto of character actor Walter Catlett ( 4 February 1889 - 14 November 1960 ) with a pic and his obituary affixed. Two of his best remembered roles were as the stage manager driven to distraction by James Cagney in Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942) and the local constable who throws the entire cast in jail, and winds up t himself, in the classic screwball comedy Bringing Up Baby (1938). He retired after making Beau James (1957), and died of a stroke in 1960. Since Mr. Catlett passed in 1960, we can safely assume both these autographs predate that.
