Marie-Antoinette Queen of France Franklin Heirloom Dolls She is perhaps one of the most famous people in history - a figure about whom countless tales and legends have arisen. She was Marie-Antoinette, beautiful queen to Louis XVI, whose reign ended with the French Revolution. The doll is crafted of bisque porcelain, masterfully hand-painted to capture the classic beauty of this legendary figure - from her unique beauty mark to her red pouting lips. She is costumed in an authentic period gown of blue taffeta with panniered skirts overlaid with delicate crystal-pleated ivory lace. This lovely figurine was produced about 1994 by Franklin Heirloom Dolls. It had a very limited number of dolls produced and each had to be specifically ordered. The item is a about 14" tall (36 cm) but is higher with the stand. It is mint in the original box and includes a large color brochure. The stand is included. It has a COA. It was always stored in a smoke free environment.
