Up for auction is the FRANKLIN MINT'S History of the United States labeled Special Solid Bronze Edition. In excellent conditon! T are spaces for 200* (please see note below) each in it's own plastic protective case. The series range from 1776 through to 1975. This set of medals and accompanying literature is not only beautiful but HIGHLY EDUCATIONAL. The medals come in a walnut display/holding case hich houses 10 jackets. Each jacket holds 20 coins. Each coin depicts one year in our nation's history. The front of each coin has an illustration of a very diverse historical event for that year. 1927=Lindbergh makes solo flight to Paris, 1928=Movie viewers flock to the talkies, 1929= Wall Street Crash. The back of the coins then described the event and two or three others for that year. T is an accompanying navy blue box which stores a pamplet for each year. Each pamplet goes into detail of the event depicted on the coin. Then added are "other significant events of the year" with more details about the events depicted on the reverse side of each coin. You can see from the photos, the box is abit worn around the edges. The final component is a navy blue bound book which gives the same information on each coin as the pamplets. Might be easier to read than the separate pamplets. It is in pristine condition. Our parents "subscribed"
