This Civil War Chess Set is made from mahogany and tooled leather and is in excellent condition with no scratches or chips, etc. It has the complete set of Confederate and Union pieces and is a rare find in that it also comes with a set of four crossed legs that create a table setting for the set. This was an additional feature at the time the set was offered; see the photo of the Union and Confederate medallions which mount in the cross-sections of each set of legs.The seller is the original owner of the set. No documentation is available.
