This auction is for the Franklin Heirloom Doll (a Franklin Mint Company) entitled "Clarissa - The Gibson Girl in Vogue" authorized by Dana Gibson. Collector d oll has been used for display purposes, but has not been abused and is in very good condition. She is approximately 21" +/- tall and has been exquisitely sculpted in fine, hand-painted bisque porcelain (with a soft body). She originally sold in 1993. The Certificate of Authenticity (COA) reads as follows: "...Clarissa, The Gibson Girl in Vogue collector doll is authorized by Dana Gibson, great-grandaughter of Charles Dana Gibson, and that it is crafted of hand-painted fine bisque porcelain. Dressed in a custom-designed ensemble of deep rose taffeta, burgundy crepe, and luxurious velvet trimmed with fine lace and soutache, Clarissa wears a burgundy crepe cape, a stunning picture hat and faux pearl earrings and carries a faux fur muff..." Doll comes complete her original box, with original outfit / accessories, display stand, original advertising & letters, and COA. She is offered with a low starting price and NO RESERVE!
