FRANKOMA WAGON WHEEL VASE, RED BUD #94 6 1/2" TALL You are bidding on the Frankoma Wagon Wheel Vase, it was first produced in 1942 as a 9" vase and by 1950 was 2" inches shorter. Since this vase is 6 1/2" tall, I would say it was made between 1950 and 1954 of ada clay in the beautiful Redbud glaze. Picture does not bring out all the nice grays of this piece since it has very nice color for a redbud piece. . Excellent condition with no nicks or dings. Pictured in Schaum's book on page 153 and Susan Cox book on page 109 Frankoma pottery is located in Supulpa, OK and has been in business since the 30's and designed many, many pieces both in art pottery, advertising and dinnerware. The orginal pieces were made with Ada clay and later pieces Supulpa clay from the area. . Thanks for looking and will answer any questions that you would have. Notice: Over the next few months I will be selling my entire collection of Frankoma. This consists of 100's of pieces from S&P's to wonderful art pottery.
