This is a beautiful and fine Fratelli Toso Fenicio 13" Vase Vintage c1950s from Murano, Italy. There are several examples of this exact technique online in many other colors attributed or labelled Fratelli Toso. In this example, the clear body has a single aubergine red thread spiraling from the lip around the clear body in the scalloped draping of the Fenicio technique. The clear glass is heightened inside the scallops, raising them into ribs, though not as pronounced as in Seguso's or Barovier's ribbing.Measuring just over 13" tall, this is an impressive vase which the scalloped spiraling thread tints the vase an very unusual shade of pale reddish (eggplant aubergine). the base measures over 4" with a big well-centered pontil mark of 2" wide, with a matte soft polish. This vase is in perfect vintage condition; there is a bit of tooling roughness where the thread was applied around the underside of the lip. This doesn't interrupt the integrity of the vase in the least and was in the making.
