Up for auction is this major work of art by Fred Grayson Sayre. This is a recently discovered work that has not been touched or restored in any way. It has the title " Salton Sea ", and comes in the original frame. This painting will need a good cleaning and has a very small point of damage about the size of a dime, but did not pierce the canvas. The colors of this painting when cleaned will be simply beautiful !! I will be taking appointments to view this work. Simply email me with your phone #, and I will contact you to make arrangements. Fred Grayson Sayre was a California landscape painter born in Medoc, Missouri in 1879. As with many artists, he did not immediately settle into a career in art, first pursuing a brief dalliance in the mining and manufacturing industries. Largely a self-taught artist, he moved to California in 1917.
