I Continue to offer rare Fred Harvey menus and is a very rare Fred Harvey Eminent Series Menu from the very famous Hollywood, California Restaurant. Not much surfaces from this location and this menu is beautiful & extensive. The front of the menu shows a Harvey Girl of the Nineties as painted by famous artist Doris Lee who painted many scenes of the past for Fred Harvey. The information on the series is on the back of this Hollywood, California Menu. The Hollywood Restaurant was located on 1743 No. Cahuenga Blvd.and was served by the Pacific Electric and then eventually MTA.This was also a hang out for the Yellow Cab Co. as well.The restaurant was quite nice and just a block from Hollywood Blvd. I would walk that corridor many times in my life and remember the settings very well. As I can remember, I believe one of the china patterns used t was Encanto. I also rember the chain patterns used as well. This menu is large and really interesting inside. Would you believe that t hours were 11:AM UNTIL MIDNIGHT. At that time James J. Carter was Manager. The date of the menu is Nov. 9, 1947. The menu measures closed 11 1/4 x 8 1/2 and is in Very Good used condition. T is some very minor coloring of the textured paper and one minor stain w the menu opens.
