FREDERICK POST - Cast Iron Drawing or Drafting Table from the Turn of the Century - The full cast iron frame has been painted with a fresh coat of Flat Black & measures 32" center line of the legs - 37" at It's widest & 24" deep - Everything works great & It's adjustable from 34" to 45" AFF (Above Finished Floor) It can be used as a desk while flat & tilts up to 85* degrees to be used as an Easel or Drafting Table- The top measures 60" (5'-0") wide x 37" deep x 1" thick - Please Note: The Wooden Top is Not original to the frame (It's better- Much Better) It's been salvaged off a 1917 Antique Hamilton Drafting Table produced by the Hamilton Manufacturing Co. Two Rivers - Wisconsin, It's made of Southern Yellow Pine w/ Maple clamp boards on it's two ends - originally used as a Straight Edge for a T-square - It's been sanded down and stained in a Minwax - Honey Oak satin finsh - riddled with thousands of Compass & Divider holes that have been stained black from Graphite over the past 90 years of use & Abuse, I also added three coat of a Bee's wax to help bring out that great Patina in the wood - It's an Amazing piece from our Industrial Age.
