This is a letter that was folded, addressed and taken to the post office and mailed. The Postmaster applied postal markings considered appropriate for the letter's journey. It is a collectable item of postal history. A superbly struck "FREDONIA NY NOV 2" black CDS on a long letter that also contained other now-gone sheets. This is part of a deposition and a legal proceeding of Norman Shebby, Edward J. Shaw and Casper Sharpless. I have only produced the top of page 1 of the letter. There are two legal pages here. There are insrructions of how to swear a petition. This item is from the collection of Calvet Hahn and is accompanied by his original album notes. Mr. Hahn's collection is very fresh to the market. Most of his items have not been offered for sale for 30-40 years. Many of the items are "listing" and/or "recording" items according to his album notes.
