[Midpeninsula Free University].Free You, Number 21, September 30, 1970.Palo Alto, Calif.: The Free You, 1970. First edition. Tabloid newspaper format; 24 pp.; illus. Scarce single issue of the publication of the Midpeninsula Free University, a countercultural laboratory in Palo Alto, CA, that existed from 1966-1971. Although a newsletter existed from the school's inception, it didn't adopt a tabloid-style format until mid-1970, when under the Revolutionary Union's influence it also became increasingly militant. This issue focusing on Palo Alto Tenants' Union Tent City, the PLO in Jordan, the "Pig of the Week" feature, much local and national countercultural and political reports.
