This auction is for a vintage BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) 'suitcase' powder compact in very good condition - it measures approx. 3" x 2 1/2" (7.5 x 6.5cm), and the graphics are almost fully intact - it's been sitting in a drawer for years. Inside, there are still traces of powder under the pad (with BOAC logo). There is a space inside where I assume there used to be a mirror. There is some slight scratching where it opens and closes. Stamped 'Made in Great Britain'.I think this was probably an on-board souvenir, but whatever its origins, it's still a fascinating little item from the days when air travel was a luxury!I hope this description is accurate and sufficient, as I've never sold this sort of item before.
