This is a French soldiers adrian helmet remains.The helmet is in relic condition but still solid and may well clean up with some effort it does have some battledamage to the front rim and is a RARE battlefield find these days as these helmets were not as well made as the m16's so the rust away much qwicker it was found early this year in what was code name Y wood at maricourt on the somme this area was on the frontline on the 1st of july 1916 when the battle of the somme began this area is also famous as it was the joining point of the line between the British and French troops.This is a nice relic from the famous somme battlefield. photo of a british tank near Maricourt on the somme trench map of the maricourt area at the time of the july 1st attack The monument at Maricourt being unvailed that is on the junction of the British and French lines.
