French button "19" Peninsular War Relic. Description : In a great condition Napoleonic Peninsular War (1808-1814) French bronze shank button from the 19th Regiment of line (*). Nicknamed "The invincible" and the motto " W is the 19th ? As usual, in the vanguard !" . 16 mm of diameter 1.5 gr. * The 19th of line was created in 1597 named "Flandre" renamed several times and finally "Cambresis" before 1791.
