Hi I have for sale the most beautiful solidbrass French crystal regulator mantel clock in great condition for the age with eight day striking on a bell visible escapement movement and signed on the back plate by the proud maker Japy Frères & Cie. The movement and case has been fully restored and are in simply stunning condition with thick heavy bevelled mint glass panels and mint two piece dials. The Case The case is in solid brass and very heavy standing just 11.5” high x 7” wide with a depth of 5” it is in very good/perfect original condition very shiny has been very well looked after over the years, with mega thick bevelled glass on all four sides real class and quality, the front and back are doors which open with ease are again in mint perfect condition. The Dial The dial is a two piece dial set which are both in mint condition both in white porcelain with all set off with black Roman numerals and blued moon hands. All the front work retains the gilding and shines in the sun light showing off the perfect ruby pallets, also please note the ultra fine escapement wheel the teeth are so delicate this is a top quality clock. The Movement The movement is an eight day time and strike striking the hours and halves on a small sweet bell a real quality movement, which still retains the original key and Perfect Mercury pendulum. read more
