French Hornby BB-8051 O Gauge Electric Loco (Boxed) This popular loco was in both electric and clockwork models. This is the clockwork one and is part of the M series of O gauge. It was made in Paris between 1959 - 63 and is modelled on an actual train that used to run on the French network in the 1950's (see photo). It is made of tinplate with chromed fixed pantographs. It is 18 cm long and has a standard Hornby automatic coupling at one end. It runs in one direction only. It is stopped/started using the sliding lever on the body side. It can also be controlled using a special stop rail that has a lever that contacts a lever on the underside of the loco. Also included is the original manual with guarantee certificate and the Hornby winding key. Also the base of the original box is included (there is no top). It is excellent near mint condition with all buffers and couplings present and no dents and shiny paintwork. It winds and runs perfectly - I have tested it on my own layout. It can be run on 2 or 3 rail O gauge track.
