This is an authentic porcelain French Limoges Trinket Box. This is an apple--a Delicious apple to be exact and it looks real.The colors on this one are amazing-so much depth and variation. It is beautifully handpainted and the handcrafting on the antiqued brass hinge and flower closure attests to the craftsmanship. It has been in my collection for approximately 15 years. It is in mint condition. The size is approximately 1 1/2"tall X 1 3/8"wide. The inside is handsigned by the artist before the last kiln firing. (Limoges France Peint main P.V.) I've included a picture of the signed inside. T aren't any pictures on the inside of this one--only the signings. My Limoges Trinket Boxes were collected from a dealer who would actually go to France and handpick the designs-- she felt that all of the sources for the Limoges Boxes were not equal in the quality of the painting. I have also found that to be true. It did not come in a box or have a COA --at the time I got these that wasn't available. I was never concerned about the authenticity because I knew the person I was buying from. She brought them back from France herself and actually dealt personally with the artists.
