An Antique oil painting depicting a representation of Venus and Cupid embracing on a bed .An interesting representation of the mythical subject, finely painted with good proportion and well rendered shade and colour. Christies Fine Art Department label attached verso also with another part inscribed label which I can't quite decipher. Housed in a good gilt frame with suspension wire, ready to hang.Provenance: From the estate of a gentleman. Approximate image size: 14 1/2" x 10 1/2" (37cm x 27cm).
