This thimble was issued by Lenain et Cie in the 1970’s. Lenain purchased the dies from Lorillon/Feau, the original maker of the thimbles that were issued in about 1900. The thimbles in this series were issued to depict the fables de la Fontaine. This thimble depicts Puss in Boots with a castle in the background. It has number 10 for the size and the Lenain mark. It also is marked France. It was minted in a deep bas relief of .950 silver and is lined in 14k gold. It is round and shows a little bit of use. The bottom is a little bit rough. It could use a cleaning. We will combine shipping if you buy more than one. Signature confirmation is included in the shipping price.
