LEVANT COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL. FRENCH MEDAL AWARDED FOR BATTLES IN THE MIDDLE EAST BETWEEN FRENCH TROOPS & TURKISH, ALSO LOCAL POWERS IN SYRIA & CILICIA. THE CLASP 'LEVANT' WAS AWARDED TO SOLDIERS & SAILORS FOR ACTIONS BETWEEN 11th.NOVEMBER 1918 & 20th. OCTOBER 1921. MEDAL SANCTIONED 18th.JULY 1922. THIS BRONZE MEDAL (30mm.dia.), IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH NICE CHOCOLATE COLOUR PATINA. ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH SLIGHTLY GRUBBY RIBBON ALSO THE TWO PRONG PIN.
