Just perfect for a baby boy's Christening. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I personally am of the 'old school' that believes a little traditional 'finery' for the Christening of a baby boy is right and proper! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These little shoes are fashioned of white cotton on the outside with white embroidered scallops and dainty flowers and are lined on the inside in soft blue cotton. They button high on the ankle to that they should stay secure when worn. As you well know if you've had one, babies are notorious for kicking off shoes and booties! These little shoes measure 4 1/4 inches on the bottom of the foot from heel to toe and almost 3 inches up the back seam. They measure 7 inches around at the top opening when buttoned, but this measurement could be adjusted by moving the little fabric covered button. I will add that I believe any reasonably skilled seamstress could easily change the lining to white or pink if desired as it is simply hand-stitched in. I have not seen any baby shoes quite like these before and I just could not resist them....so sweeet! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These little shoes would be a special treasure for a collector of vintage baby clothes, or a wonderful gift for a new baby. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FVL#0682 The usual shipping charge for this item has been reduced. ~Please take time to read all our Shipping and Insurance Information ~ Shipping and Insurance: ~ All items priced at or over $500 and all combined orders over $500.00 will now be shipped for Free by French Colissimo.
