Original French WW1 early aviation photo postcard (Real photo postcard) showing French fighter pilot Alfred Marie Joseph Heurtaux who scored 21 victories. It's believed Heurtaux shot down German ace, Kurt Wintgens.During World War II, Heurteaux was a member of the French Resistance. When the Germans occupied France, he was captured and sent to Buchenwald concentration camp in 1941. He survived the experience and was freed in May 1945. In December of that year, Heurtaux was promoted to Général de Brigade Aérienne and was an Engineer in the Bank sector. Please scroll down to see all the pictures.
